Fare schedules of ferry tickets, discount fares and terms and conditions for discounts

1. Fare schedules

1.1. KUIVASTU - VIRTSU LINE

*On the Virtsu-Kuivastu route from 13.00 on Fridays and on the Kuivastu-Virtsu route from 13.00 on Sundays, fares for transport by ferry of a vehicle shall be multiplied a factor of 1.5.

1.2. ROHUKÜLA - HELTERMAA LINE

*On the Rohuküla- Heltermaa route from 13.00 on Fridays and on the Heltermaa-Rohuküla route from 13.00 on Sundays, fares for transport by ferry of a vehicle shall be multiplied a factor of 1.5.

1.3. TRIIGI - SÕRU LINE

2.         DISCOUNT FARES AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR DISCOUNTS

2.1 Passengers

2.1.1.      Full-fare tickets shall be purchased by all passengers who present no document qualifying them for a discount.

2.1.2.      A tertiary student’s discount ticket may be purchased by a student enrolled full-time holding and presenting a current student ID (including an ISIC card or NPNK bank card).

2.1.3.      A middle or high school student’s discount ticket may be purchased by a student enrolled for daytime study holding and presenting a current student ID.

2.1.4.      A discount ticket for a pensioner of the Republic of Estonia may be purchased by a pensioner of the Republic of Estonia holding and presenting a pension certificate.

2.1.5.      A permanent resident’s discount ticket may be purchased by a grownup resident presenting a current ID (for a resident of Saare County on the Kuivastu-Virtsu route, for a resident of Hiiu County on the Rohuküla-Heltermaa route).

2.1.6.      A permanent resident’s discount ticket shall be sold, without further checks on an ID card, to:

2.1.6.1.      The driver of a vehicle holding a discount entitlement card presenting a discount entitlement card for the vehicle;

2.1.6.2.     Passengers on scheduled coach services;

2.1.7.      A discount ticket for a person accompanying a disabled person may be purchased at the ticket office at a port to a person accompanying a person with a profound disability or a disabled child upon the presentation of a document (pension certificate with a photo) proving the relevant person’s disability.

2.1.8.      A discount ticket for a person accompanying a person with a profound or severe visual impairment may be purchased only at the ticket office at a port upon the presentation of a document (pension certificate with a photo) proving the disability of the person with a profound or severe visual impairment.

2.1.9.      A free ticket for persons with a profound disability or disabled children may be purchased only at the ticket office at a port upon the presentation of a document (pension certificate with a photo) proving the disability.

2.1.10.  For the application of the above fare discounts for a disabled child or a person with a profound disability and the issue of a ticket at a discount rate, a document proving disability has to be presented – either a disabled person’s PENSION CERTIFICATE or a statement of finding from a medical examination, together with a photo ID.

2.1.11.  When a passenger car transporting a disabled child or a person with a profound disability drives aboard a ship, during the ticket check a document proving disability shall be presented on request, together with a ticket for transport by ferry, for the identification of the disabled person or person with a profound disability in the car.

2.2  Vehicles

2.2.1.      A passenger vehicle and vehicle up to 3.5 tonnes (encluded bus with less than 23 seats), (except for vehicles of medical institutions) transporting a person with a profound disability or a disabled child shall be afforded transport by ferry for free and on a priority basis (priority queue shall not apply); a trailer of a passenger car shall be paid for as per the fare schedule (priority queue shall not apply);

2.2.2.      The fare for transport by ferry of a vehicle more than 2.5 metres wide shall be multiplied by a factor of 1.5.

2.2.3.      The fare for transport by ferry of a vehicle more than 4 metres high shall be multiplied by a factor of 2.0.

2.2.4.      A contract for a gift card entitling the holder to a fare discount may be concluded by a legal entity or natural person whose location, as recorded in the commercial register, or place of residence, as recorded in the population register, is designated as Saare or Hiiu County for a vehicle whose registration certificate designates the person as its owner, authorised user or user.

2.2.5.      On the Virtsu-Kuivastu and Rohuküla- Heltermaa routes from 13.00 on Fridays and on the Heltermaa-Rohuküla and Kuivastu-Virtsu routes from 13.00 on Sundays, fares for transport by ferry of a vehicle shall be multiplied a factor of 1.5.

2.2.6.      Coaches recorded in the Estonian traffic register and vehicles with contracts concluded for a preferred customer card entitling discounts shall not be subject to the fare factor of 1.5 on Fridays and Sundays.

2.3 PRIORITY QUEUE FOR VEHICLES

Services on a priority basis (no service charge applies) shall be provided to:

2.3.1.      cars of the rescue service and the police on duty;

2.3.2.      postal delivery vehicles;

2.3.3.      vehicles of the diplomatic corps;

2.3.4.      coaches operating under a scheduled service licence;

2.3.5.      vehicles transporting the deceased;

2.3.6.       vehicles transporting disabled children and adults with a profound disability.
